Motion correction

The correction is done by first splitting up the image time series into a single volume (reference volume) with contained volumes (source volumes). Then for each source volume the rotation and translation parameters are estimated, in an iterative manner, with respect to the reference volume. These parameters are saved internally so that the user can display them at a later stage. Once the step size of the rotation and translation parameters is small enough, the iteration process is halted, and the estimated rotation and translation parameters are applied to the source volume using a cubic interpolation approach.

Motion correction is implemented as a pre-processing step in the BOLD Analysis module and can also be applied as pre-processing steps in DTI, ASL and perfusion (DCE/DSC) analysis.
